Scroll our Travel Blog for inspiration.
If you want to see what we’ve been up to, or if you want some inspiration for your next trip, scroll through all of our blog posts.
You’ll find itineraries with practical travel advice, in-depth history into our favourite sites, memories of the best food, restaurants, and bars we’ve visited as well as books that have inspired our wanderlust.
You’ll also find Travel Journals which give more personal insight into destinations without a step-by-step guide - this is the stuff we love writing because travelling isn’t only about what you see, and the world isn’t a list of places and sights to be ticked off; it’s about what you feel, who you meet and what you learn along the way. Sure, it’s useful to know what bus to get where, but we want to write about the museum exhibit in Austria that had us in open-mouthed wander for an hour. The home-cooked meal that made us cry, the time we tried (and failed) to explain cricket to Argentinians through mime, the tango class lost in translation, the colours of the Northern Lights reflected in each other’s eyes, and mountain air so cold it took our breath away.
Please comment to leave your feedback or ask any questions, we’d love to hear from you!

Penguins Stopped Play by Harry Thompson
When I find a good book about cricket I’m usually very happy, but Harry Thompson’s "Penguins Stopped Play" exceeds even that, because it throws in another one of my favourite things to do: travel.
Interrail: A 3 week Itinerary
Interrailing is a fantastic way to see Europe. With so many options, you might ask, “what is the best interrail route?”. Unfortunately, there’s not really any such thing, so what you should be asking is “How do I get the most out of interrail?”
Visiting the Grand Canyon by Helicopter
Visiting the Grand Canyon by helicopter is one of the most memorable travel experiences I’ve ever had. If you're looking for an adventurous way to see the canyon, a helicopter tour offers a unique perspective and allows you to see parts that are not accessible by foot.

Patagonia is on every outdoor enthusiast’s bucket list. From towering glaciers to epic hikes, pristine lakes, rugged mountains, and lush forests, there is jaw-dropping natural beauty at every turn.
Book Review: Spiritual Places by Sarah Baxter
Millions of people pass through spiritual places every year without truly understanding their importance. To truly understand them, you have to feel them.
Way Outback: Camping tour in Australian Outback
My first group tour experience was when I solo travelled in Australia. I arrived in Alice Springs on my own, and I am neither brave nor stupid enough to rent a car and drive off into the Outback solo. I’ve seen the movies!
How to Spend a Long Weekend in Athens: Top 5 Things to Do
It’s hard not to feel over-awed by Athens. Here’s my top 5 tips of things to do when spending a long weekend in the city.
The History Behind Shoes on the Danube, Budapest
All sizes and styles are there: men’s boots, women’s heeled shoes, even child sized pairs. All once occupied by real people, real souls. Read more about this poignant monument on the banks of the Danube in Budapest.
A Grand Tour of Germany's Romantic Road by Train
Germany’s Romantic Road – or, Romantische Straß – is a well-known tourist route taking in small villages and historic cities. It’s easy to see why it is so popular. From fairytale castles in lush green valleys to villages of timber-framed houses and glistening alpine lakes, travelling through these towns and villages by train is like stepping into a postcard.
Where to see Bluebells in Leicestershire
It is a quintessential ritual of springtime in Britain - to venture out and walk amongst the bluebells - yet it can easily slip through your hands. Time it right by reading our experience of where to see bluebells in Leicestershire.
Espirito Santa Restaurante: A Must-Visit Restaurant in Rio de Janeiro
It was the perfect holiday food; one that I enjoyed every bite of but one that I haven’t a clue how I would begin to recreate at home, making Espirito Santa a must-visit for any trip to Rio de Janeiro.
Visiting Perito Moreno Glacier & Mini-Trek on the Ice
The very concept of glaciers fill me with curiosity and awe - it is a special feeling to be walking on ice so dense and solid but know that once it fell as tiny delicate snowflakes, thousands of years ago. Perito Moreno is a marvel even amongst glaciers, our guide told us, as it continues to advance as other glaciers in the world retreat.
Tuscany Cycling Tour from Florence to Siena
Discovering the ibiketuscany tour of a ‘soft’ ride from Florence to Siena had seemed like the perfect day. Beautiful Italian bikes, undulating terrain suitable for beginners like me, and a long road flanked either side with vineyards. 13 miles (with a van supporting us in case of any difficulty) and then an afternoon free to spend in Siena.
Taking a Northern Lights Tour in Iceland
It was 11pm and, after an hour’s drive out of Reykjavik, we had only just arrived at the place where we were told we had the best chance of viewing the most beautiful, most elusive of things: the Northern Lights.
Travel Journal: A Day Trip to The Black Forest
Stepping off the train at Titisee, it is hard to believe you are less than an hour from the city of Freiburg. It was a cold February day and we were the only people to get off the train at this stop for a day trip to the Black Forest.
Travel Journal: In the Medina, Marrakech
Marrakech is a feast for all the senses. I spent three days exploring the winding Medina, indulging in melt-in-the-mouth tagine and watching the sun set over the red city.
