Welcome to The End of Everywhere.
We are Graeme and Sarinda, a married couple in our 30s who love to plan adventures, big and small. Exploring the world together has provided some of our relationship's most memorable and important moments. Now that we’re married, we’re taking the leap and embarking on the trip of a lifetime, together!
Career Break Travel
How do you find the best time for a career break? The truth is, it’s scary to quit your job 10 years into your career, and there are always reasons to wait. So much has happened since we first started talking about the idea of a career break to travel: we’ve got engaged; we’ve lived through 2020; we had our wedding postponed; we’ve got married; and we’ve waited for travel to return to normality. There are still reasons to wait, but we know we will regret it if we never give it a go. So… here goes!
On the Road
As with all couples that travel together, we have fallen into our roles. Sarinda is the planner, the finder-of-hidden-gems, and the one with the booking confirmations. Graeme is the reader of maps, the carrier of extra bags, and the one who asks strangers for help and starts conversations with others.
Travelling with us is usually chaotic, sweaty, and messy. And that’s where all the fun is!
About Us
About Sarinda
The obvious first: I like to visit new places, near and far. I love reading anything I can get my hands on, and I love writing; journals, poems, diaries. I am a history geek. I like to cook and I really love to eat. I prefer hiking, mountains and forests to sand and sea, so I’d rather be wrapped up in layers than sunbathing. I’m a serial planner because the thought of missing out on something good I didn’t know about haunts me. My dream travel day would involve a morning hike, browsing a local market or bookshop, then finishing the day with a street food feast.
About Graeme
I’m a sporty guy, I love playing hockey, watching Newcastle FC and spend way too much time on my NFL fantasy team (according to Sarinda). My creative outlets are Warhammer - I like to collect and paint miniatures - and music. My dream travel day would involve hiring a bike and discovering a new place on two wheels, cheering on the local football team (or other sport of choice), browsing a local record store, then people watching with a cold beer.
