Scroll our Travel Blog for inspiration.
If you want to see what we’ve been up to, or if you want some inspiration for your next trip, scroll through all of our blog posts.
You’ll find itineraries with practical travel advice, in-depth history into our favourite sites, memories of the best food, restaurants, and bars we’ve visited as well as books that have inspired our wanderlust.
You’ll also find Travel Journals which give more personal insight into destinations without a step-by-step guide - this is the stuff we love writing because travelling isn’t only about what you see, and the world isn’t a list of places and sights to be ticked off; it’s about what you feel, who you meet and what you learn along the way. Sure, it’s useful to know what bus to get where, but we want to write about the museum exhibit in Austria that had us in open-mouthed wander for an hour. The home-cooked meal that made us cry, the time we tried (and failed) to explain cricket to Argentinians through mime, the tango class lost in translation, the colours of the Northern Lights reflected in each other’s eyes, and mountain air so cold it took our breath away.

Visiting the Grand Canyon by Helicopter
Visiting the Grand Canyon by helicopter is one of the most memorable travel experiences I’ve ever had. If you're looking for an adventurous way to see the canyon, a helicopter tour offers a unique perspective and allows you to see parts that are not accessible by foot.
Way Outback: Camping tour in Australian Outback
My first group tour experience was when I solo travelled in Australia. I arrived in Alice Springs on my own, and I am neither brave nor stupid enough to rent a car and drive off into the Outback solo. I’ve seen the movies!
Visiting Perito Moreno Glacier & Mini-Trek on the Ice
The very concept of glaciers fill me with curiosity and awe - it is a special feeling to be walking on ice so dense and solid but know that once it fell as tiny delicate snowflakes, thousands of years ago. Perito Moreno is a marvel even amongst glaciers, our guide told us, as it continues to advance as other glaciers in the world retreat.
Tuscany Cycling Tour from Florence to Siena
Discovering the ibiketuscany tour of a ‘soft’ ride from Florence to Siena had seemed like the perfect day. Beautiful Italian bikes, undulating terrain suitable for beginners like me, and a long road flanked either side with vineyards. 13 miles (with a van supporting us in case of any difficulty) and then an afternoon free to spend in Siena.
Taking a Northern Lights Tour in Iceland
It was 11pm and, after an hour’s drive out of Reykjavik, we had only just arrived at the place where we were told we had the best chance of viewing the most beautiful, most elusive of things: the Northern Lights.
Travel Journal: A Day Trip to The Black Forest
Stepping off the train at Titisee, it is hard to believe you are less than an hour from the city of Freiburg. It was a cold February day and we were the only people to get off the train at this stop for a day trip to the Black Forest.
